Product Management

The Future of Product Management: Moving Beyond AI Assistants to AI Builders

Research from leading PM organizations, including Pragmatic Institute, reveals that over 75% of Product Managers have adopted AI tools. But there's a critical distinction emerging in our field: while most PMs use AI as assistants for traditional PM tasks, I believe the next generation is using AI as builders, transforming from "product specifiers" to product creators.

This session will demonstrate this next evolution in product management. Through natural language programming with platforms like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, Product Managers can now build working prototypes and alpha versions of their features and products, transforming abstract concepts into tangible experiences that stakeholders and end users can actually use and provide feedback on.

As engineering teams become increasingly AI-driven, Product Managers who don't evolve beyond traditional boundaries and embrace AI development platforms will find themselves increasingly irrelevant.

Attendees will leave this session equipped to make the leap from AI-assisted PM to AI-empowered product builder, with practical frameworks and resources to start building their own prototypes. This will enable them to position themselves as the Product Managers of the future, leveraging GenAI to its fullest potential.

Sr Director of Product

Tillster

Born and raised in Paris, I moved to the USA in 2002 to pursue an opportunity in analytics and data science. After 12 years building data products and pipelines and creating Machine Learning models at companies like Visa and Disney Interactive, I transitioned to product management over 10 years ago. Since then, I've led product strategy at startups and mid-size companies, creating products and building high-performing teams, delivering hundreds of innovative products and features across diverse industries. My portfolio spans B2B and B2C digital applications, API-driven backend systems, and AI-powered analytics platforms across Financial, Entertainment, Marketing, and Restaurant industries.

Based in Cary, where I moved 3 years ago from the Bay Area with my wife and daughter, I enjoy exploring the area's natural beauty through hiking and mountain biking. When not building products, I can be found in the kitchen exploring new culinary recipes or working toward my private pilot license.
